3-D Glasses Wanted

With my schedule being the way it is, I didn't go to Wal-Mart in time to get my daughter the 3-D glasses for the Hannah Montana concert on Disney Channel. We went yesterday and they are all gone. Does anyone have an extra set they can spare? It would be greatly appreciated.

Julie and Tom

Yesterday's wedding was with Julie and Dom at Belhurst. Today was Julie and Tom at Belhurst. We started at the Geneva Ramada, then went to White Springs Manor and finally over to Belhurst for the ceremony and reception. Julie and Tom were a lot of fun and so was their bridal party. I shot with Daryn so I got to play with his infrared camera again.

Julie and Dominik

What a surprise, the wedding I shot today had thunderstorms. I'm trying to think if any of the weddings this year have not had a thunderstorm. Nevertheless, it still turned out to be a fantastic wedding. Julie and Dom were great. Julie's mom made the dress for her and she was absolutely stunning in it. Dom had to beat all the groomsmen back with a pink umbrella. I need to acknowledge my second shooter Michal-Kathryn. She did a phenomenal job today.

...and here are a few of MK's images.

Me and My Shadow

There is no bigger thrill in the world than for your son to want to be just like you. I got to take my little buddy fly fishing again this past weekend. I made him a custom pair of wading shoes out of converse sneakers and thick felt since they don't make wading shoes that small. He looks like a high top wearing wrinkle puppy when he has his waders on. The straps make a big loop by his shoulders because they're so big. They make a great handle for me to grab when he loses his balance so he doesn't end up floating downstream.

I don't want to leave my daughter Sarah out. She was one of the photographers on this fly fishing outing, along with my wife Sue.

Philly Steaks

Kortney is one of our senior reps from Marcus Whitman as well as one of our summer employees at the studio. The other day I borrowed a hockey jersey from Mac's Philly Steaks, which by the way has the best Philly Steaks in the world. The photo below is going to be hanging in Mac's as a 20x30 Gallery Wrap.

Kortney has also been playing with our new slideshow software. She created this slideshow from her senior session.

Kate Lee Video

Earlier this year I did two photo shoots for my friend Kate Lee with No Strings Attached. The first was when she opened for the bluegrass band Nothin' Fancy in Sodus and then a few weeks later at a recording at WXXI for their show On Stage. She never fails to amaze me with her ability to play the violin/fiddle and her angelic voice. Kate will be playing live in Canandaigua this weekend at the Waterfront Arts Festival. Stop up and say hi.

Two Times the Fun

We are still clipping along with the Twins Book, although slower than I would have liked. It has been busy at the studio, so the creation of the book has been delayed.
Last week I photographed Tim and Pat for the book. They are very sport oriented 11-year-old boys. They were running around in lacrosse gear in 90 degree heat. I was hot just watching them.

Allison and John

Ellen and I photographed the wedding of Allison and John today. The ceremony was at St. Patricks in Victor with the reception at Steamboat Landing in Canandaigua. Rain showers were frequent, but didn't ruin the day. We were able to get some great shots outdoors. We had the pleasure of working with Park Place Limousines again. They are the best of the best when it comes to limo companies. Allison and John are headed to Scandinavia for their honeymoon. Have fun guys!

Nina and Russ

I just finished one of the most amazing weddings I've ever had the privilege of attending. Jess and I drove out to Syracuse to start the day with Nina and Russ. We then headed to Belhurst Castle for an evening reception...

...and now, the rest of the story. Around 6:30, a strong thunderstorm rolled through Geneva knocking out power to Belhurst and the surrounding area. What would have ended most weddings turned into a fairytale here. The band, Prime Time, from Syracuse picked up an acoustic guitar and their brass instruments and refused to be defeated. They gathered on the dance floor and played for the next 3 hours with nothing but candle light and video light from MaryBeth from Video Network Inc. The drummer even came out on the dance floor and was playing on a drum case with his drum sticks. The guests gathered around and listened, danced, sang and partied without skipping a beat. It was one of the most amazing moments of triumph over adversity I've ever seen.
