Girls Win Big!!!!!!!!

Sarah's hockey team, the U12 Canandaigua Knights girls team, won their first ever game this morning. Not only did they win, they did it in grand fashion shutting out their opponent from Brockport 10-0. When they went back in to the locker room after the game, I don't think any of their feet were touching the ground they were so happy. Quite a few of the girls had their first ever goals, while Casey had her first win and first shut out in goal. Here are some photos from last season just to make the post pretty. Congrats ladies!!!!!!

Winter's Calling

Believe it or not, I actually have a weekend without a wedding. Sarah has her first hockey game tomorrow morning up in Brockport, then we are headed for a hotel in Niagara Falls for her second game bright and early Sunday morning at Niagara University. With her hockey schedule, it's hard to imagine trying to be Vice President of the United States on top of it.

The wedding season is slowing down, with a few winter weddings scattered every few weeks. I love winter weddings. They offer an exciting change of pace with different challenges and opportunities not available during the typical wedding season. I have photographed dozens of winter weddings throughout the years, so I have decided to launch a new section of our website devoted to them. Check the website and blog in the near future for the official launch of the winter wedding section. Here are a few of my favorite images from winter's past.

Wicked Cool Chistmas Cards

We are doing our Santa photos early this year to keep up with the demand for Christmas Cards. Every card we do is a custom design. Here are some of the samples we've done over the last year or two, along with a plethora of new designs that Amanda has created. I just wanted to say "plethora". Whether you do Santa photos or not, we can create a really cool card for you from a past or present portrait session, a wedding, trash the dress session, etc... Think out of the box and ring in the holidays with style. The cards come in a variety of styles, such as flat cards, bi-folds, tri-folds, accordion style and more, as well as a variety of different textures and surfaces.

Special Offer

Receive a free 5x7 with any card order.
Expires 12-24-08
Not valid with Santa package.

It's Snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm grinning like a little kid waking up to a layer of fluff a foot deep, praying to the snow angels that the name of my school would scroll across the screen. I love the first snow. I don't care if it snows some where in the area, until I see the first flake with my own eyes, winter has not begun. It's official. Winter begins today. Time to put the snow tires on and rotate the lawn mower and snow blower in the shed hierarchy. Now where did I put those shovels?

Allison and Luke

I just got back from fantastic wedding at Artisan Works on Blossom Rd. What an amazing place. I could shoot there for 50 weddings and still not do the same thing twice. It is massive with more art work than I've ever seen in my life. Amanda and I had the pleasure of working with Allison and Luke. It's official, I'm old. I photographed Allison's senior photos way back when my studio was still out of my house. I used to work with Allison's mom Nancy at the Daily Messenger. The whole family was just a blast to hang out with. Here are some images from Artisan Works. Congratulations Allison and Luke.

Santa is Coming Early

With the success of our Santa photos year after year, we are doing something new this year in order to accommodate everyone. First, we are having two days of studio sessions instead of one. We have decided to do the photos in mid-November this year. The dates will be November 15th and 16th at the studio. Now for the fun part. For the first few hours on Saturday, we will be doing beached themed Santa photos with Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses. Later in the day we will be back to winter with multiple different set ups to add variety. We will have our traditional sleigh scene, a fireplace scene, an all white winter scene and a Victorian doorway scene.

We will also be doing appointments in 15 minute increments with a set package of 25 4x5 Christmas cards with envelopes, 2 5x7s and an 8x10 for $75. Prepay your session when you book your time slot and you'll also receive a gift certificate for an additional half hour studio session.

For those not interested in a full 15 minutes session, we will have a limited amount of time for a walk-in visit with Santa and our a-la-carte pricing.

The schedule will be:
Saturday, November 15th from 11:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
-Beach photos in the morning and Winter photos in the afternoon with walk-in time from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 16th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with Winter scene appointments through 3:30 p.m. and walk-in appointments from 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

For more information, call the studio at 585-393-9242. Here are a few of our favorite images from past years with the best Santa ever.
