Belhurst Wedding

I shot a wedding at Belhurst Castle yesterday in Geneva for Jennifer and Tim. Despite the weather we had a fun day and got some cool images between the drizzle drops. Here are some images from the day.

Senior Portrait Freebies

I did a fun session with a student from DeSales High School and got to thinking over the weekend how I could get the students to help spread the word about having their senior photos done at Chesler Photography. I need to be where the students are, so here's one of the thoughts I came up with.

If a student puts a link with our logo on their blog, website or MySpace page they will get an add on session module at 1/2 price or a free set of 8 wallets. To get the offer, the student must leave the logo on their site through the end of September. I have attached the logo and the html code to the post below. Send us an e-mail to verify the logo placement to steve@cheslerphoto.com.

Happy Birthday Dad

Dad would have been 68 today. I got an e-mail from my brother today jokingly saying that he doesn't look a day over 62. He was 62 when he died and wouldn't have it any other way than for us to laugh with him in memory. I have been blessed to have a father who was not only a role model and teacher, but also a best friend. I am also blessed to have a mother and three siblings that I feel the same way about and that we can celebrate Dad's life together, with a mutual understanding of how great a man he was. Happy Birthday Dad.

My Little Girl

Down in Florida I did a photo session with my 9-year-old daughter Sarah. It was the second part of her session we started at the studio when she turned 9. The studio photos were our idea and the beach photos were hers. She's growing up so fast. We wanted to give her the freedom to make her own choices and she chose doing photos on the beach. We did them at Deerfield Beach north of Fort Lauderdale. It was some great bonding time. We did her shoot, spent some time on the beach, had a great lunch and of course did some shopping. She's my little sweety peety pumpkin pie. I hope she doesn't mind my calling her that in high school.

Nikon D1H For Sale

I recently purchased the new Fuji S5 digital camera, so it's time to part with some of the older items that are no longer being used. The first to go is my Nikon D1H body. It comes complete with three batteries (although 2 are not lasting very long), battery charger, AC adapter, it's original box and paper work. This camera is extremely fast and takes outstanding sports photos even at 2.7 megapixels. I have made 20x30 enlargements from this camera. I am also selling the matching SB-28DX Flash. The flash is fully functional although the LCD glass on the back has a crack in it. I sent it to Nikon but it was not worth fixing for the price they quoted me. I will post some actual pictures of the camera when I get to the studio tomorrow. Asking $750 for all. Lens in the photo is not included.

Urban Prom

Our new senior portrait sessions and modules are being finalized and will be up online within the next few days. One of the modules is going to be an urban session done in the lesser known places in Canandaigua. We are also doing an "Urban Prom" session where we do unique shots with the prom dress on that will be way different than the elegance of the day of the prom. A few of our past seniors came back in to the studio today to help us by modeling for our new modules. Here is a sampling from the shoot. We are still looking for a few juniors from each school to be ambassadors for us to help spread the word to their classmates. Call us at 585-393-9242 to become an ambassador.

Here are some photos of yesterday's Trash the Dress session in Mizner Park. What a blast! Kalina was great. It was amazing how much attention this shoot received.

Trashing the Dress Boca style

Wow, what a day. I did three bridal sessions today down here in Boca Raton. The first was a sunrise session at Red Reef Beach, immediately followed by a shoot in Mizner Park in Downtown Boca Raton. The last session was for friends of the family, Sari and Rick, who got married last month, so we took the opportunity to do some "extra" photos that wouldn't dare be done the day of the wedding. Here are some photos from that session. I will post ones from the earlier sessions in the next day or so.
