Little Miracles

Every time I do a maternity session, it reminds me of when my wife was pregnant with my kids and what they have grown into now. I could not imagine life without my kids, and to think how they began inside the womb is just amazing. I also think of the joys and the trials that are just around the corner for my clients and how blessed they are to experience all of it. The amazing part is the sheer number of these miracles going on simultaneously throughout the world on any given day.

Nash Rambler

I did a shoot for my good friend Sara Goff, who is also the wedding and event planner for Bristol Harbour resort in Canandaigua. For those of you who have never been to Bristol Harbour, check out the slideshow we created for their website. It's an amazing place.

The shoot we did was with Sara and her kids. At one point, we came across an old abandoned car in the woods. I have since found out it's a Nash Rambler. We did a photo of the kids and their attitudes that make the shot. The little girl in the door is Missy, who is the girl with the flying hair in the photo that made the Showcase book for the PPA print competition. Who knows, maybe she'll be entered again this year.

Amazing People

One of the greatest things about being a photographer is the number of absolutely amazing and talented people I get to meet. Sure, photographers get to meet all sorts of celebrities and sports figures, but the ones that inspire me the most are the people in my own backyard. Some of the high schol seniors that come through the studio have some truly amazing talents. One that comes to mind is Kieran Hanlon who is an amazing musician. While we were photographing him with his violin, he began playing. The sound that came from the strings was incredible. This was no ordinary violinist sitting in the third seat of the high school orchestra. He is one to look out for in the RPO if not greater.

Belhurst Slideshow

I just created a new slideshow for Belhurst Castle's website. Since I shoot so many weddings there, I thought it would be appropriate to put it on the blog as well. Go grab some popcorn, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Today

I did a senior session today and did some editing tonight. Here are two of the images. I'm too tired to write much, so I'll let the images do the talking. Good Night.

Girl Party!

Amanda and I have been discussing doing portrait parties, where a group of friends come in to the studio, or on location for that matter, have their hair and make up done and then do a cool photo shoot. Today I did one of those parties for the daughter of my friend Carmen, who is the wedding coordinator from Belhurst Castle. She took eight 13-year-old girls by limo up to a hair salon in Webster, then stopped at the studio on their way back for a photo shoot. What a blast! These girls were so funny. They had their own code of sayings and facial expressions. This is one party they won't soon forget and we have the photos to prove it.
