Mexico City is a city full of color. All the buildings were painted vibrant colors and much of the city is covered in grafitti. The outer neighborhoods were filled with a patch work of colored houses stacked high on the hill sides. The streets were narrow and always full of life. We were in Zocalo Square in the center of the city eating lunch on th fourth floor of th Gran Hotel when we heard a marching band outside. We went out the balcony overlooking Zocalo Plaza and watched a military processional march out of the National Palace government building to lower a massive Mexican flag from the center of the square. It was by far the largest flag I have ever seen.
