Chelsea and Josh

I first met Cheslea and Josh quite a few years ago at another wedding I was shooting. They were both in the bridal party and today they finally got to be king and queen. Two of the couples in today's bridal party were past wedding clients, so it was like a cool reunion. The reception was again at Bristol Harbour. After the ceremony at St. Mary's in Canandaigua, we went over to the VA and then the boat houses on the city pier for photos.

Michelle and Vince

Last week, I had a great, but cold e-session with Michelle and Vince on the pier in Canandaigua. Today we headed south for their wedding at Bristol Harbour. The setting could not have been more perfect with brilliant sunny skies and autumn colors kissing the waters of Canandaigua Lake. Michelle and Vince not only got married, they created a family with Michelle's 6-year-old son Hunter.
The reception kicked off with the music of the Jim Roberti Band from the Poconos. I saw them play at the Bull wedding last summer at Granger Homestead in Canandaigua, so when Michelle needed a referral for a non-traditional band, there was no other choice. They have a sound that is a cross between the Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews. They're awesome to say the least. You can find them on iTunes.

Trash the Dress Models Wanted

I am doing a presentation in Syracuse next Wednesday evening, October 15th on Trash the Dress sessions. I am in need of a few models to work with during the presentation. You don't have to be a past wedding client of ours to participate. We also have a handful of wedding dresses that we could supply if needed. There will be no charge for the shoot, in fact, you'll receive free dinner out of the deal along with a cd of images. If you're interested, please e-mail me at steve@cheslerphoto.com or call the studio at 585-393-9242. We can only take a limited number of brides, so this will be a first come basis.

#3

In March, I will have the honor of photographing the wedding of Melanie Wiesner and Justin Haers. They are both very involved in the DIRT Motorsports Big Block Modified Division. Justin is the driver of the #3 Phelps Cement Products Modified stock car.

Ironically, while we were photographing Justin and Melanie's E-session around Canandaigua last week, we came across a lone #3 just waiting to be photographed.

After the photos were posted, I received the following e-mail from Melanie:

Steve -
I LOVE our pictures! I called everyone I knew and put the slide show on my computer at work for everyone to see! You are amazing! As soon as Justin comes home Sunday night after the " Big Race" I will show him too!
Thank you so much for everything!
Melanie

Tara and Mike

Karen and I shot the wedding of Tara and Mike today. They were married at St. John's Church in Perinton with the reception at Casa Larga.
Tara was super accommodating, asking us if there was anything she could do for us. I kept laughing and reminding her that she was the bride and I should be asking her the same question. It was cool and cloudy but the day finished with a beautiful sunset over the vineyard.
The ballroom was dressed with linens and decor done by Tara and her mom Patty who have their own linen company.
Congratulations Tara and Mike.
