Making Rainbows

When it rains on the day of the wedding I'm shooting, I have a choice, I can let it ruin things or I can play with the rain. When life hands you lemons you make lemonade. Well when life hands me rain, I make rainbows.

Twins Update

The turn out for the twins book has been great. We are still in the process of editing and uploading many of the shoots we've done so far. If you haven't submitted your write up for the book yet please send that as soon as possible. We are starting to narrow down the choices for publishing the book and we'll need to start doing the layout shortly. Cheers Boston

Rich and I spent the afternoon with Alicia and Matt the day after their wedding, touring some of the sites in Boston to do a Day After photo shoot. We went to Bull & Finch which is the real name of the bar from Cheers, as well as Boston Common and the Hancock Tower. Then we went near the Zakim Bridge and did some photos of Alicia and Matt with my brother's Mustang in an alley. They came out sweet! The panorama photo was taken by Rich. Way to go bro!

Boston Wedding

What a great wedding today!!!! I'm out in Boston for Alicia and Matt's wedding. The wedding was in Quincy, pronounced "Quinzy" for some odd reason. I got to shoot with my brother Rich since he lives in the area. He almost got one in focus. It was great, until he celebrated his triumph and spiked the camera in the church.

What was supposed to be a wash out turned out to be a gorgeous day. We went down to Marina Bay in Milton, Massachusetts to get photos with the Boston skyline in the background. The docks were right in the flight line of the planes approaching to Logan Airport. It was awesome.

Here are some photos from today, but this is just the first part. We are heading back tomorrow to take photos with Alicia and Matt at some of Boston's landmarks.

Sweet Dreams Sparky

The world has lost one it's most noble canines this week. My sister Caren lost her dog Sparky to cancer. I'm not a big dog fan, but Sparky was cool. He never barked and he always ate his vegetables. Sparky was 16 and lived life to the fullest with a lot of love from Caren and Bruce.

Caren is a writer, and a damn good one if I do say so myself. She wrote an article recently on Sparky, and pet owners relationships with their dogs. You can view the article here:

Tomatoes

I looked out the back window of my townhouse to see a little 4-year-old boy rummaging through my tomato plants looking for the red ones. It was 1996, three years before I started the photography business. I didn't mind my little visitor. I don't like tomatoes, I just like growing the plants. They're easy and make me feel like an accomplished gardener. The little boy would also come knocking on my door to see if I could come out and play. It doesn't seem that long ago. Yesterday, that little boy came to the studio for his senior portraits. It's amazing how fast the time goes.
