Today, Jenn and I did the wedding of Heather and David at the Seneca Falls Country Club. They got married under a tent at the club in what turned out to be a beautiful fall day. The leaves seemed to be changing more in that area than in Canandaigua. Heather and David live in Virginia where much of his family is from. Rumor has it there may be some opportunities to photograph a few Virginia weddings in the near future. Twist my arm.

I Like Shoes
OK, I admit it. I like shoes. It's not a fetish and I don't have a closet full of women's shoes in my size. I just think they have great lines and photograph very well. Let's face it, feet are not the most attractive part of the human anatomy, but a good pair of shoes can really make a difference. So I will proudly continue to photograph them in the most creative way possible. As the expression goes; if the shoe fits...
Jess and Joe
Today's wedding of Jess and Joe was very unique. Jess is Amanda's husband Mark's sister. Mark and Amanda were in the bridal party and I knew half the guests there. Amanda and I are normally very conscious of not getting in each others shots while we shoot, so for her to be on the other side of the camera was odd. Jess and Joe were great. The wedding was at Greystone Castle in Canastota, NY. It's a very interesting place, having once been a Methodist church and then condemned until it was purchased and renovated into a beautiful wedding venue.

Senior Slam
We are in the midst of our senior yearbook photo slam. The deadlines are flying at us at warp speed. I would much rather be creating art than measuring proper head sizes, but with seniors one comes with the other. Here is just one of the recent seniors we've done that I thought came out cool. Don't forget to visit our senior exclusive blog at Cheslerseniors.blogspot.com.

Breaking News!!!
My brother Rich came out from Massachusetts to shoot this weekends weddings with me. We've done a lot of talking and have decided to branch out with the studio and create Chesler Photography New England, in addition to the Canandaigua studio. Unlike the Canandaigua studio, the New England studio will concentrate exclusively on weddings. Rich will head the New England studio backed by my experience in marketing and industry contacts. Our goal is to build destination wedding opportunities in places like Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, while building a local wedding base in the Worcester/Boston area. Look for new developments on our website promoting the New England studio in the near future.
Good Morning Sunshine
Shortly after Rich and I got home from last nights wedding at Ventosa, we were awake and on our way to Bristol Harbour for a dawn ceremony with Danielle and Todd. What a magical morning. The sky was clear as the blue glow of dawn outlined the hills surrounding Canandaigua Lake. A layer of fog hung just above the water in the valley below. Danielle and Todd got married during an intimate ceremony with just immediate family present. The morning finished with an awesome sunrise and a delicious breakfast on the patio at Bristol Harbour. After a quick nap and some photo editing, we were on our way back to Geneva for an evening reception at Ventosa. Danielle and Todd were a joy to be around and had great senses of humor.
