I had a great shoot on Friday just before I left for camping for the weekend. We used our "new" old couch in the attic for a maternity shoot, along with some new ways of lighting up there. The results were very intriguing. I would have posted these sooner but the campground doesn't have internet access. I will be using these photos along with some other recent maternity sessions to update our website's maternity section at www.cheslerphoto.com/baby.htm.

Image of the Month
I've just been informed that my photo is up on Hahn Graphic's website as the Image of the Month. Check it out at http://www.hahnphotographic.com/customer/home.php.
I also received a call this weekend that two of my photos were chosen for the Professional Photographer's Society of New York's brochure and poster. It's nice to be recognized by piers. It confirms that I am moving in the right direction.

Textures
I've been playing with a new program to create some cool textured portraits. As with any editing program it takes some practice to get cool results, and what works on one photo may not work on another. Here is a before and after look at one of the photos I played with.

New Family Member
We have a new family member. Her name is Medley's My Little Gift "Mylie". I call her "Beans" since she is no bigger than a Beanie Baby. She is 10 weeks old and still only weighs one pound. She is the smallest little puppy I've ever seen. She is a Pappillion, just like her departed friend Jeter. Mylie is a special dog. She is extremely undersized and may never get more than three pounds. She could not be sold as a breeding dog or an agility dog, so my wife Sue decided to take her in and baby her. So far it has been a match made in heaven. They both smile non-stop. Here are some photos of Miley.

Brooke and Bobby
Amanda and I had a great wedding today with Brooke and Bobby. We started the day at St. Mary's in Canandaigua, then headed downtown, then to Kershaw Park and their house on Canandaigua Lake, and concluded at DiPacific's in Farmington. What made this wedding so cool is that Brooke is one of my assistant photographers on weddings, so I barely had to tell them what to do. It also didn't hurt that the weather was absolutely perfect and that there were plenty of cool cars to play with during the wedding. Here are some photos from the day. I will post a new slideshow of the wedding soon.

Belhurst Wedding
Amanda and I did a wedding for Andrew and Polly this weekend at Belhurst Castle. It was a very intimate weddng with 22 guests held on the second floor of the castle instead of one of the ballrooms. They had a dinner held in the private room of the castle solarium. Polly did the layout and decoration of the table which came out awesome. She could have a new career ahead of her.

It's in the Game
I did a cool shoot with a Canandaigua junior a few weeks ago and had his preview session today. He allowed us to experiment using our new presentation software from ProSelect. It seems designed perfectly for seniors, allowing us to preview, sort and organize all the clients selections, as well as doing some really cool slideshows and side-by-side comparisons.
Seniors, don't forget to check out our specials and referral program on our website at http://www.cheslerphoto.com/senior08.htm.
